You never know when it's your turn, to watch another being squirm, as they shuffle off their coil, passing on to you turmoil, which will overwhelm and steal, all your passion and your zeal, just no way to grin and bear it, there's no escape, until you wear it.A reasonably original take on a very generic horror theme with an often used metaphor, but the performance from Sosie Bacon is noteworthy and convincing, as is the escalation, with one or two genuine jump scare moments ratcheting up the tension and keeping you engaged enough to hope for more.

Young Elliott Heffernan delivering a monumentally assured and sincere performance, Sairse Ronan as great as ever, and an ensemble cast of much loved British actors Stephen Graham, Kathy Burke, Benjamin Clementine and possibly my fave left-field piece of casting in recent history with Paul Weller as piano playing, loving grandad.A Hans Zimmer score too, with his absolute mastery of letting you know something is about to happen, but you're never quite sure what.

The film can feel big and epic at times and yet entirely localised and intimate at others as you go from swathes of London on fire to intimate London street scenes, front rooms and many small shops and businesses

You don't see or hear the enemy, just the bombs and the air raid sirens warning of them.Full of fear and hope, singing in the underground to keep spirits up, sisterhood in the bomb factory, selfless characters looking out for those they don't know (take tissues).

An ever timely reminder that those that divide society destroy societyBest seen on a big screen with big sound

The diversity in the film reflects what London was like in 1940, and you've never seen it like that on film before.

In the shots where Tara is taped shut, in some earlier shots the tape is clearly not touching the bottom of her mouth, while in other shots it is tightly around both of her lips. EMT Novel: How can you eat a greasy croissant while cutting up corpses? Once you’ve seen an eight month old microwaved to death…everything else is just old hat.

YouTube has a heavily edited version that removes graphic violence and blood, as well as nudity. I will try to write and execute with Thanks. Yes, there is almost no plot and it is very nihilistic and pointless, but it makes up for it with a truly creepy villain and some very well done and incredibly brutal bloody effects.

The acting is perfectly fine

Nothing amazing, but it’s perfectly acceptable. Much better than you usually get in low-budget horror these days. This isn’t a movie that will revolutionize the genre, but it is a fun throwback to the good old days of unstoppable silent killers.
