In THE GUTTER, when the frequently fired Walt (Shameik Moore) lands a position tending bar and dropping shoes at the local AlleyCatz bowling alley, he feels like he’s finally found a home. When money problems threaten the AlleyCatz, Walt is pressured by former pro-bowler and current champion drinker Skunk (D’Arcy Carden) to accept his role as the greatest bowler to ever walk this earth. As Walt’s love of big checks and head-to-head style dominates the professional tour, his detractors, including ratings-obsessed newscaster Angelo Powers and bowling legend Linda “The Crusher” Curson (Susan) Sarandon), furiously try to extinguish Walt’s flame before it burns too brightly.
